Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) evolves, we are taking extra precautions to care for our PBD family – our Team Members and guardians. We are actively monitoring COVID-19 by staying close to the official guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
We’re thinking of every touchpoint that our children may encounter while spending time learning and having fun at our childcare centers.
To Parents and guardians,
We are taking direction from the CDC/FDOH. If a child has a fever, they will not be allowed to enter the building; we ask that parents do not enter the building for the health safety of children attending our center. We are implementing a social spacing strategy to help reduce exposure. We ask everyone to keep a 3-foot distance from the staff and children.
We will remain open unless directed by officials otherwise. If you’re able to temporarily keep your children home during this tumultuous time, we suggested you do so to reduce the risk of exposer.
In efforts to reduce exposer, we are checking every child for flu-type symptoms before entering the building. In the event a child shows flu-type signs, they will unfortunately not be suitable to attend and will require a doctor’s note clearing them to return.
We are taking the following precautionary measures in our centers:
- Implemented enhanced cleaning and disinfecting procedures for all occupied areas, surfaces, and equipment, such as doorknobs, tables, toys, devices, etc.
- Working with our partners to ensure we are using the most effective disinfectant against COVID-19
- Team Members are following rigorous handwashing procedures throughout their shift and interactions
- We will continue to closely monitor this evolving situation, stay in close contact with health organizations, and keep you updated on steps we’re taking to care for our Palm Bay Daycare family.
